Hilton Honors’ fall promotion, called “More Points to Play,” kicked off on October 15, 2026. It’s a simple per-stay bonus: register once, then earn extra points every time you complete a stay at a Hilton hotel through the end of the year. The bonus is modest at most hotels, but it’s larger at Hilton’s higher-end and resort properties.

Key details

  • Promotion period: Stays completed between October 15 and December 31, 2026. Check out by December 31 to qualify.
  • Registration: Required. Register on Hilton’s promotion page before your first eligible stay. Points aren’t added retroactively for stays completed before you register. You can register after you’ve already booked.
  • Standard bonus: 1,000 bonus points per stay at most Hilton hotels.
  • Higher bonus: 3,000 bonus points per stay at participating luxury, lifestyle, resort and all-inclusive properties. Hilton publishes a list of eligible hotels, so check it rather than assuming a hotel qualifies.
  • Per stay, not per night: A five-night stay earns the same bonus as a one-night stay. Consecutive nights at the same hotel count as one stay.
  • No cap: There is no stated limit on the number of stays that earn the bonus.
  • Award stays: Multiple outlets report that award stays booked directly with Hilton qualify, as well as paid stays.
  • Posting: Bonus points can take up to six to eight weeks after checkout to appear.

Who this affects and what to do

Anyone with a Hilton stay on the calendar before New Year’s Eve should register now. It takes a minute and costs nothing. The people who get the most value are travelers who take several short stays, such as one-night road trips or quick business trips, because the bonus is paid per stay no matter how short.

  • Register first. Do it before you check in for your next stay so you don’t miss the bonus.
  • Book directly. Stays booked through online travel agencies generally don’t earn Hilton Honors points or promotions.
  • Check the 3,000-point list. If you’re choosing between two similar hotels, the one on the luxury or resort list earns three times the bonus.
  • Track your posting. Take a screenshot of your registration and check your account about two months after each stay.

Our take

This is a promotion to register for, not one to plan travel around. Hilton points are typically valued at well under a cent each, so 1,000 bonus points is a small perk, worth a few dollars toward a future award night. Even the 3,000-point bonus at luxury and resort hotels is only a modest rebate compared with the rates those properties charge.

The best feature is that there’s no cap and award stays reportedly count, so frequent short-stay travelers can quietly stack up a meaningful number of points by year-end. The weakness is that it’s per stay, so a long vacation earns no more than a single night. Past Hilton promotions have sometimes offered bigger bonuses, so if you’re deciding between Hilton and a competitor this fall, compare what Marriott, Hyatt and IHG are currently offering too.

As always, read Hilton’s full terms on the promotion page before your stay, since eligible rates and property lists can change.
