Four Seasons is one of the few big luxury brands with no points program. As of October 2026, there is still no Four Seasons loyalty scheme to join: no points, no elite tiers, no free-night awards. That does not mean points people are shut out. The value comes from how you book, because several card programs and travel advisors attach real perks to the same rooms.
Here is how the main options compare, what each one actually promises, and the catches.
Four Seasons booking channels compared (as of October 2026)
| Channel | Who can book | Stay perks (per the program) | Card credit / earning | Main catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) | US Platinum and Centurion card members | Daily breakfast for two, $100 credit toward eligible charges, room upgrade on arrival when available, 12pm check-in when available, guaranteed 4pm checkout, Wi-Fi | Platinum: up to $300 semi-annually ($600/year) on prepaid FHR stays; 5X points on prepaid hotels via Amex Travel | $895 Platinum annual fee; you must book through Amex Travel |
| Chase The Edit | Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders | Daily breakfast for two, $100 property credit, room upgrade, early check-in/late checkout, welcome amenity, Wi-Fi (some perks subject to availability) | Up to $250 per prepaid stay of 2+ nights, up to $500 a year; 8X points on Chase Travel | $795 annual fee; prepaid “Pay Now” rates only |
| Capital One Premier Collection | Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders | $100 experience credit, daily breakfast for two, Wi-Fi, early check-in, late checkout and upgrades when available | 10X miles on hotels booked through Capital One Travel | We could not confirm which Four Seasons hotels are included; search the portal |
| Four Seasons Preferred Partner (travel advisor) | Anyone, through a participating advisor | Daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit, upgrade when available (details vary by hotel) | None from the program itself; pay with any card | You cannot book it yourself online |
| Four Seasons direct offers | Anyone on fourseasons.com | Varies, for example a free fourth night | None | Property-specific, with blackout dates |
Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts
FHR is the best-known way to add perks to a Four Seasons stay. Amex’s US FHR page lists these benefits: “12pm check-in, when available,” “Guaranteed 4pm check-out,” a “Room upgrade upon arrival, when available,” a “$100 credit towards eligible charges,” “Daily breakfast for two” and complimentary Wi-Fi. The program is open to eligible US Consumer, Business and Corporate Platinum and Centurion card members.
Many Four Seasons hotels take part. When we checked Amex’s travel site in October 2026, Four Seasons properties in Surfside (The Surf Club), Maui, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and both Dubai hotels were labeled Fine Hotels + Resorts. Participation can change, so search the hotel on Amex Travel before you plan around it.
The Platinum hotel credit. Amex says Platinum members can “Get up to $300 back in statement credits semi-annually for up to a total of $600 per year” on prepaid FHR or The Hotel Collection bookings through American Express Travel. The Hotel Collection requires a two-night minimum; Amex’s card page lists no minimum for FHR. Frequent Miler notes that the half-year periods run January to June and July to December, and that the date you pay is what counts.
Watch for a possible change. On October 14, 2026, One Mile at a Time and Thrifty Traveler reported a leak from an Amex test site suggesting FHR stays could need two nights to trigger the credit starting January 1, 2027. Both outlets say it is not official. If you were planning a one-night FHR stay to use the credit, it may be worth booking and paying before year-end. Check Amex’s terms first.
Chase Sapphire Reserve and The Edit
Chase’s own August 2026 guide says The Edit’s Hotel + Resort Collection includes “top brands like Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.” Benefits in that collection are daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade at check-in, a $100 property credit, early check-in and late checkout, a welcome amenity and Wi-Fi. Chase notes that some benefits depend on availability and vary by property.
Sapphire Reserve cardholders get “a statement credit of up to $250 for each prepaid booking with The Edit, up to $500 annually,” on prepaid stays of two nights or more booked through Chase Travel. Chase says the credit applies automatically to your first two qualifying stays each calendar year. The card earns 8X points on Chase Travel purchases, but Chase’s terms say the part of a stay covered by the Edit credit earns no points.
Capital One Premier Collection
Capital One says its Premier Collection offers a $100 experience credit, daily breakfast for two, Wi-Fi, and early check-in, late checkout and upgrades when available. Only Venture X and Venture X Business cards can book it, and hotels earn 10X miles through Capital One Travel. Capital One’s page does not mention Four Seasons, and we could not confirm which Four Seasons hotels are included, so search your exact hotel and dates in the portal.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisors
Four Seasons’ own perks program runs through travel advisors, not a public sign-up page, so the details below come from published guides rather than a Four Seasons page. Upgraded Points (updated August 2026) lists daily breakfast for two per bedroom, a hotel credit of about $100 for rooms and $200 for suites, and a one-category upgrade when available. Both it and One Mile at a Time say you generally pay the same rate as on fourseasons.com. One Mile at a Time also says the perks can be added to almost any direct rate, including promotions. Ask the advisor to confirm the exact perks for your hotel and whether they charge a fee.
Visa also runs a Luxury Hotel Collection for Visa Signature and Visa Infinite cards. Upgraded Points lists a $25 food or beverage credit and continental breakfast for two, plus an extra $100 benefit for Visa Infinite cards. We could not confirm which Four Seasons hotels take part, so treat it as something to check, not a plan.
Four Seasons’ own offers
Many Four Seasons hotels publish their own deals on their Offers pages. Two current examples, as of October 2026:
- Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club (Surfside, Florida): a free fourth night with every three consecutive paid nights, “Valid for Selected Dates Between Oct 18 2026 – Dec 21 2027,” with a 4-night minimum and 21-night maximum.
- Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco: a free fourth night with three paid nights, valid for selected dates between Sep 29, 2026 and Dec 31, 2027. There is a maximum of one free night per stay, and the offer cannot be booked back to back.
Both pages say blackout dates apply and the offer cannot be combined with other offers. Offers differ by hotel, so check the Offers page for the hotel you want.
How to choose
- Price the same dates everywhere. Check fourseasons.com, Amex Travel and Chase Travel for the same room. The perks are only worth it if the price gap is smaller than the value you will actually use.
- Use the credit you already pay for. If you hold the Platinum or Sapphire Reserve, the $300 Amex credit or $250 Edit credit can cut the cost of a stay sharply.
- Longer stays: a fourth-night-free offer booked through a Preferred Partner advisor may beat a card portal, because the portals’ credits are capped per stay.
- Read the cancellation terms. Prepaid rates, which the card credits require, are often stricter than flexible rates.

Our take
Without a points program, the smartest Four Seasons move is to never book a bare rate. If you already have the Platinum Card, FHR plus the semi-annual credit is the simplest route. Sapphire Reserve holders now have a real alternative through The Edit for stays of two nights or more. A Preferred Partner advisor is the most flexible option and works with any card. The downsides: these perks do not make Four Seasons cheap, “when available” upgrades are never promised, and the $795 to $895 annual fees only make sense if you use the credits. The rumored 2027 FHR change is a reminder that card perks can shrink at any time.
