Singapore Airlines’ November KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes take 30% off Saver award miles on selected flights. For U.S. travelers, that means economy from Los Angeles, San Francisco or Seattle to Singapore for 30,800 miles one way, and you have until October 31 to book.

How to book
- Log in to your KrisFlyer account at singaporeair.com or in the SingaporeAir app. Promo awards can’t be booked through call centers, ticket offices or travel agents.
- Search a Saver redemption on a listed flight and date, and confirm the discounted mileage shows before you move any points.
- Need miles? KrisFlyer is a Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner, among others. Transfers are made in 1,000-point increments and are final, so check seats first.
- For a round trip on different terms, book each direction as a separate one-way, and finish booking in one session.
Who it’s good for
West Coast travelers with flexible November dates who want a Singapore or Southeast Asia trip, especially from Seattle, which has the lightest blackouts. The Frankfurt–New York premium economy fare is also handy if you’re already headed to Europe and want an easy, well-priced way home.

Our take
A 30% cut on an ultra-long-haul Singapore Airlines flight is real value, and 30,800 miles to Singapore in economy is a fair price for one of the best economy products around. The catches are big, though: travel must happen within the next six weeks, blackouts knock out many dates (Thanksgiving week especially), and the tickets are locked once you book. Taxes and fees are extra. There’s no business class from the U.S. this round, so premium-cabin hunters should wait. If your dates line up, it’s a good deal. If they don’t, skip it, because you can’t change the ticket later.
