IHG is running a members-only Destination Deals sale: book between Oct. 27 and Nov. 1 and you can save 25% or 30% at participating hotels in the Americas, and 30% in the rest of the world, on stays from Oct. 30 to Dec. 13, 2026.

That stay window covers most of November, including Thanksgiving week, plus the first half of December. If you’ve got a trip coming up in the next six weeks and haven’t booked the hotel yet, this one’s for you.

Key details (as of Oct. 28, 2026)

  • Booking window: Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, 2026. That’s it, so don’t sit on this.
  • Stay dates: Oct. 30 to Dec. 13, 2026.
  • Discount: 25% or 30% at participating brands in the Americas, depending on the hotel; 30% at participating hotels in other regions.
  • Where: IHG’s offer page lists cities across the U.S. (Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Orlando, Seattle and Los Angeles among them), plus Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, China and the rest of Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Who can book: IHG One Rewards members only. Joining is free.
  • Fine print: You have to book at least three days ahead. No deposit is required, but cancelling within seven days of arrival costs you one night. Not every hotel participates.

Prices and availability change quickly, and IHG says terms apply, so check the rate rules on the booking screen before you pay.

How to book

  1. Sign in to your IHG One Rewards account (or join for free) on ihg.com or in the IHG app.
  2. Go to the Destination Deals offer page and pick a city, or search your destination and dates.
  3. Look for the Destination Deals rate (the links on IHG’s page use rate code IDDDD) and compare it to the regular member rate.
  4. Read the cancellation terms, then book by Nov. 1.

Who it’s good for

Anyone with Thanksgiving travel, a November work trip or an early December getaway that still needs a hotel. It’s also handy if you’d rather pay cash for a cheap night and keep your IHG points for something pricier later.

Our take

We think this is a solid sale, and the Thanksgiving dates are what make it stand out.

Here’s the simple math: if a hotel normally charges $200 a night, 30% off brings it to $140. On a three-night holiday stay, that’s $180 back in your pocket. (That’s just an example; your hotel’s rate will be different.) Holiday weeks are usually when hotels charge the most, so a discount that actually covers them is worth more than one that only works on slow dates.

Now the catches. “Up to 30%” means some hotels in the Americas only give 25%, and plenty of hotels aren’t in the sale at all. The cancellation rule matters too: cancel within a week of arrival and you lose a night, so this isn’t as flexible as a standard rate. And always check the regular member rate and the points price side by side, because sometimes a points night or a different rate still comes out ahead.

We’d book this if your plans are firm and the hotel you want is participating. We’d skip it if your dates might change or the discounted rate isn’t really lower than what you’d normally pay.
