The Milwaukee Air & Water Show has announced its 2027 dates: Saturday and Sunday, July 24–25, 2027, on Milwaukee’s Lake Michigan lakefront. The organizer’s July 2026 “save the date” post also says the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be back. Full performer lists, show times and ticket prices for 2027 aren’t out yet, so here’s what’s confirmed, how the 2026 show worked, and how to plan a trip on points.
What and when
| What | Details (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Dates | July 24–25, 2027 (Sat–Sun) |
| Where | Milwaukee lakefront; the 2026 show line ran along Lincoln Memorial Drive between Bradford Beach and McKinley Beach. The 2027 site map isn’t posted yet. |
| Headliner | U.S. Navy Blue Angels, per the organizer’s 2027 announcement |
| Cost | Free to watch from the public beach areas in 2026; reserved venues were ticketed |
| Show times | Not yet announced |
| Official site | mkeairwatershow.com |
The organizer’s performers page still shows the 2026 lineup, which featured U.S. Air Force demo teams, the Wings of Blue parachute team and a long list of civilian acts. The Blue Angels weren’t on that 2026 list, and the 2027 mention comes from the show’s own Instagram post (“We are thrilled to welcome back the Blue Angels”). Military demo teams can change plans, as several did in 2026 because of deployments, so treat the lineup as tentative until it’s on the performers page.
Tickets and tips
Based on how the 2026 show was set up (per the organizer’s FAQ and seating pages):
- Free viewing on parts of Bradford Beach and McKinley Beach along Lincoln Memorial Drive. No ticket needed.
- Center Point General Admission: a ticketed viewing area near show center. Bring your own chairs or blankets; parking sold separately.
- Bradford Beach Boxes: a reserved space on the sand for up to four people, with parking included.
- Flight Crew Club: the premium tent on the show line with catered lunch, drinks, air-conditioned restrooms and parking.
The organizer didn’t list prices on its seating page and says prices go up as the event gets closer, so buy early if you want a reserved spot. The show runs rain or shine, though individual acts can be cut for weather. Drones and outside alcohol aren’t allowed, and non-service animals aren’t permitted in reserved venues.
Getting there
By air: Milwaukee Mitchell (MKE) has nonstops on Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Sun Country and United, per the airport’s nonstop list as of October 2026.
By train: Amtrak’s Hiawatha connects Chicago Union Station and downtown Milwaukee in about an hour and a half, which makes this an easy day trip from Chicagoland.
Parking: In 2026, show parking had to be bought online in advance and wasn’t sold on site. Lots opened at 8 a.m. Parking was included with Flight Crew Club and Bradford Beach Box tickets, and accessible parking along Lincoln Memorial Drive was first come, first served with a valid placard or plate. The organizer’s parking page doesn’t cover shuttles or transit, so if you’re staying downtown, plan on walking or a rideshare and check the 2027 parking page closer to the date.
Where to stay on points
The show’s 2026 hotel partners were Plaza Hotel Milwaukee, Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown (Marriott Bonvoy), and two Hilton Honors properties, Tru Milwaukee Downtown and Home2 Suites Milwaukee Downtown. Partners can change for 2027, and we couldn’t find partner rates listed. For points stays:
- Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown (Marriott Bonvoy): a partner hotel you can book with Bonvoy points. Marriott prices awards dynamically, so a big summer weekend may cost more.
- Tru and Home2 Suites (Hilton Honors): budget-friendly Hilton brands, also partners in 2026.
- Hyatt Regency Milwaukee (World of Hyatt) and Kimpton Journeyman (IHG One Rewards) are other downtown options; see our Milwaukee on points guide.
Planning to use Marriott Bonvoy points for a show-weekend stay at a partner hotel like the Courtyard? A Marriott Bonvoy card can help you build the balance. You can compare current offers and apply with our Chase referral link.

Our take
A free lakefront air show with the Blue Angels is a strong reason for a late-July Milwaukee weekend, and you don’t need a ticket to see it. The catch is that the full lineup and show times won’t be known for months, and military teams can drop out. Book a refundable hotel now, decide on a reserved seat once prices are posted, and buy parking ahead if you’re driving. We’ll update this when the 2027 lineup and site map are out.
